FACILITY DETAILS

The facility consists of 13,700 square feet of gross space broken down as follows:

• 9,400 sq. ft. wet processing plant
• 3,100 sq. ft. office and staff area on two floors
• 900 sq. ft. mechanical room
• 300 sq. ft. laboratory

The following features were incorporated into the design of the plant to allow for safe processing using alcohol from 10 to 100%:

• All electrical meets the requirements of at least Class 1, Division ll, Groups C&D
• The building is ventilated with 100% fresh make up air through three roof top units providing up to nine air changes per hour. Ethanol content in the air is monitored in four locations in the processing area connected to electrical interlocks.
